It looks like Microsoft is building out Visual Studio for the web--GitHub now has the ability to edit repository code files directly on the web. See github.dev for more

Microsoft has won me over on this front. When I went to CR and HSU, I had a Pentium Pro with Redhat on it as my primary computer. I hated Microsoft's tactics, but their last 10 years really has turned around.

Github ownership, and moving half of their documentation to it
PowerShell at the center of their server OS's. In fact, PowerShell is the best way to interact with the Graph API at all.
Linux Windows subsystem works like a charm. Use all your 'bin' tools on Windows, merge your development environment, what's not to love?
Speaking of development, VScode is awesome now. Open Source and powerful as all get out.
"winget upgrade" is pretty tight, and it's upcoming integration with Intune should make the Microsoft Endpoint Security Dashboard a thing of amazing power. Winget has already replaced Ninite for my free software install method.
Even free OS upgrades, from 7 to 10 to 11.

And, as a system administrator, I'll take managing an M365 tenant over a Google Workspace one anyday.

It's amazing how far they have come.
